Padparadscha is a color of sapphire that is commonly portrayed as a mixture of orange and pink colors. It has been referred to as a marriage between the color of sunset and that of a lotus blossom. Some have more pink and some have more orange. What one does prefer is a personal choice, they are all rare. This one have more pink.  Padparadscha sapphires are considered among the most beautiful and valuable of the corundum gems. Sri Lanka is considered to be the best place for padparadscha, the name itself comes from the Sinhalese name of the lotus flower.
